Delivery times

Note at this peak Christmas/New Year mailing period, delivery time may take longer due to the huge increase in volumes handled by the postal services. Therefore additional time needs to be allowed for delivery. Orders that may take one week normally, could take up to 2 to 3 weeks in some circumstances.

How much do you charge for delivery?

There is no extra charge for delivery as it is already included in our prices.

 

Our US Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Euro and Japanese Yen prices all include insured international Air Mail delivery.

 

Australian Dollar prices are cheaper for shipping to Australia only.

 

You must select UK Pounds for shipping to the UK as we also include UK Customs charges.

 

Only NZ Dollar prices include GST and courier delivery within New Zealand.

How long does delivery take?

Typical delivery times are shown below. Note working days are Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Where an item is delayed by Customs or if the delivery address is in a remote location, it may take longer.

Which delivery services do you use?

Overseas (except UK): Parcels under 2Kg in weight are sent by insured International Air Mail delivery. This service doesn't offer tracking. For parcels 2Kg and over an EMS service with tracking is used which tends to be treated as Express in most countries. These services are handled in the destination country by the local postal service (eg. USPS, Australia Post, Canada Post, etc).

 

United Kingdom: Packages under the UK duty threshold are express air freighted to the UK in bulk and posted on their UK arrival as Royal Mail First Class Packets. Packages over the duty threshold are sent by EMS service with tracking which is handled by ParcelForce.

 

New Zealand: We use CourierPost's tracked service with signature on delivery.

 

 

 

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship our sheepskin products to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, much of mainland Europe and Asia, Australia and within New Zealand. Nature's Beauty cosmetics can be shipped to all these countries except the United States due to trademark restrictions.

New Zealand only prices

Pay in New Zealand Dollars for shipping within New Zealand. Prices include GST and tracked CourierPost delivery.

 

 

 

Will I incur Customs charges?

USA: Generally no, as it is extremely rare to hear of customers in the United States being charged.

 

UK: No, these are included in our UK pound prices and are either pre-paid or we reimburse you.

 

Australia: No, as long as the order total is under AUD$1000. Otherwise Australian import GST is charged.

 

New Zealand: No, all orders are shipped from our warehouse in Auckland, New Zealand so GST is included in our prices.

 

All other countries: Although few countries charge every single package of commercial value, there's a good chance you will incur Customs charges, especially for higher value items. Charging thresholds and amounts charged vary considerably between countries, so it would be worth checking locally before ordering if this is of concern.

 

If Customs duties/taxes are charged, they are the responsibility of the recipient and such charges are collected either by the local postal or Customs service.

 

 

 

How does pre-payment of UK Customs charges work?

We include UK import VAT at 20% in our UK Pound prices (except for exempt items like children's footwear). This is pre-paid to the UK's HM Revenue & Customs via a VAT Pre-Payment Scheme.

 

This allows all packages under the £162 duty threshold to use "direct entry" whereby New Zealand Post ships our day's UK orders directly to the UK by air freight. Then on arrival in the UK there is no need for the usual UK Customs processing/charging as all charges are pre-paid. Packages are transferred directly into Royal Mail's First Class Packet service so the overall delivery time is often under a week, and UK Customs delays which have often been a problem in the past are avoided.

Items over the duty threshold to the UK are sent in the regular way by EMS International Air Mail with tracking and on arrival in the UK ParcelForce will request payment from the recipient of all Customs charges. As we can't pre-pay this on high value items, we simply reimburse the customer's credit card used for the order on receiving details of the Customs payment made.

Is there anything else I should be aware of?

If shipping to a work address, please include the company name, postal services occasionally return items as unknown if this is not present. If the item doesn't relate to your work, you can put "c/o" or "care of" before the company name.

 

Postal services often only hold parcels for a short time after a delivery attempt is made - sometimes as little as 5 days before returning them to us as unclaimed. Therefore if you are not in when a delivery attempt is made, you must claim the parcel promptly. If a parcel is refused or unclaimed you may either be charged storage fees by the local postal service, or they may return the parcel to us by economy mail which can take 1 to 4 months. The return postage, if charged, plus the original postage at cost, would be deducted from any credit.

 

 

 

What if a parcel is lost or delayed?

The international delivery services we use are very reliable but in the unlikely event of a parcel being lost, a replacement parcel will be shipped after allowing around 4 weeks. This time may be increased when widespread delays are known about or likely to certain destinations (for example orders to Germany can incur excessive Customs delays).

 

For our insurance claim to be paid, the claim needs to be lodged within 90 days and New Zealand Post require the recipient to reply to their letter requesting confirmation of non-delivery. In the event of no response being received we reserve the right to charge for the replacement parcel.
